Who is the best foreign friend of Guizhou? India should certainly be counted.
前两天在北京举行的一个活动上，印度工商联合会中国会长阿都尔·达拉库提以自己的亲身经历，畅谈了对于贵州的感受。
In an activity held in Beijing, Atul Dalakoti，president of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, shared his views on Guizhou with his own experience. Let’s take look.
“当我们回顾贵州的发展历程，不禁让人感慨贵州是如何从过去走到如今这样一个充满活力的知名省份。通过“一带一路”，将贵州和印度更好地联结起来”。
“Looking back on Guizhou’s development, we are amazed to find an underdeveloped province has successfully transformed into a place full of vitality. Through one belt and one road initiative, Guizhou and India are getting more and more connected.”
贵州和印度的合作内容丰富，但都离不开两个东西：大数据和基础设施。我曾采访前任印度驻华大使，现任印度外交国务秘书顾凯杰先生，他提到，欢迎贵州的企业来到印度参与基础设施建设，同时希望扩展双方的合作。他的这番话不仅是对双方合作的肯定，也是对贵州“硬实力”的肯定。
The cooperation between India and Guizhou covers a wide range of fields, but two things are always on the list: big data and infrastructure. Two years ago, I have got a chance to interview Mr. Gokhale, the current foreign secretary of India, and he was the ambassador to China at that time. He said “Guizhou enterprises should come to India and help with the construction of infrastructure. What’s more, more projects should be involved to expand the cooperation of the two sides”. His words, to me, not only demonstrate a strong will of cooperation, but a recognition to Guizhou’s Hard power.
这个因美景和民族文化等“软实力”而著名的省份，正逐渐通过基础设施建设、工业生产等“硬实力”参与到世界经济的发展当中，并成为不可或缺的一部分。
Guizhou, once famous for her soft power, stunning scenery and rich ethnic culture, is now deeply involved in the world’s economic development through hard power, infrastructure construction and industrial production, and gradually becoming an indispensable part of world’s economy.
作为记者，我曾无数次问外国友人，您对贵州的印象是什么，美丽是我最常听到的一个词。现在我想说，贵州依然美丽，但拥有了更多内涵，您只有来了才能体会。
That really reminds me something: When I interview foreigners, the impression on Guizhou is always something that I want to ask. And “beautiful” is often the answer that I got. Today I wanna say, Guizhou is still beautiful, but with more sides and contents. You can’t feel it until you come.
