The Lantern Festival, also called the Shangyuan Festival, is a Chinese traditional festival celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, while it's the full moon. It marks the final day of the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations.

Eating some Yuanxiao or Tangyuan is an important custom.

They are round glutinous rice ball with sweet black sesame or peanut pastes as fillings.

从宋代开始，猜灯谜就被视为元宵节不可或缺的一部分。

Starting from the Song Dynasty, guessing riddles is regarded as an indispensable part of the Lantern Festival.

人们把各种谜语写在纸片上，贴在五颜六色的灯笼上，让游人猜。

People write all kinds of riddles on pieces of paper, and paste them on colorful lanterns to let visitors guess.

礼物会被赠送给猜到正确答案的人。

Gifts are presented to the people who get the right answers.
