A basketball game in Taipan Township, Taijiang County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province recently has become popular on the Internet. There were still thousands of spectators gathered on the field at 2 a.m to watch the exciting and intense basketball game. Even Zhao Lijian, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specifically "liked" it.

如今的贵州省内并没有职业篮球俱乐部，但贵州有着无与伦比的民间篮球氛围。

There is no professional basketball club in Guizhou Province now, but the atmosphere of folk basketball in Guizhou is unparalleled.

据统计，如今的贵州一年有超过五千场比较正规的民间篮球赛事。尤其是在各大节假日期间，贵州各地的许多村镇都会自掏腰包组织民间篮球赛事，作为节日庆典的重要部分。

According to statistics, there are more than 5,000 regular folk basketball games in Guizhou every year. Especially during holidays, many villages and towns in Guizhou will pay to organize basketball events out of their own pockets as an important part of the festival celebrations.

对贵州的篮球运动员和篮球迷来说，在深夜或者是极端天气条件下参与比赛已经是司空见惯的事情了。他们对于篮球的热情是特殊的。安顺市大屯村的篮球比赛是贵州最有名的篮球比赛之一，在决赛甚至会有上万名观众到场观战。

As for basketball players and fans in Guizhou, they participate basketball games at night or in extreme weather conditions has become commonplace. Their passion for basketball is special. The basketball game in Datun Village, Anshun City, is one of the most famous basketball games in Guizhou. In the finals,  over tens of thousands of spectators even came to join the game

诱人的奖金，火热的气氛，高水平的运动员……被戏称为“乡村NBA”的民间篮球赛事已经是许多贵州人民日常生活中不可缺少的娱乐活动。篮球也成为了传播体育文化，增强民族团结的重要工具。
