我们经常看到像华为、中兴这样的大的中国公司非常积极地保护知识产权。而像思特这样的小公司与欧洲大公司对簿公堂的情况几乎没见过。
We have as ZTE and HuaWei, all these huge companies, they are going to the courts and they are protecting their rights. What we do not see very often is Chinese smaller ones like Topseat, actually go to courts and sue some European, German companies.
成立于2012年的贵州思特公司专门面向国际市场研发、设计及制造马桶盖。在欧盟注册的设计专利达到一千多项。去年，德国霍恩巴赫公司未经允许，使用了思特公司的一项专利，在发出警告无效后，思特将霍恩巴赫告上法庭，并最终胜诉。
Founded in 2012，Topseat specialized in developing, designing and manufacturing toilet seats all over the world. Topseat holds over 1000 design patents registered in the European Union. Last year, Hornbach had offered toilet seats making use of Topseat’s invention without permissions. Therefore, Topseat decided to sue Hornbach for patent infringement in Germany after issuing an invalid warning. Ultimately, Topseat won.

现在，科技创新让中国成为了全球第二知识产出大国，发明专利申请量和授权量均位居世界第一位，就在这个月，贵州成立了专项基金，拿出25亿来支持科技创新引导，促进科技成果转化。
Now, scientific and technological innovation has made China the second largest knowledge-producing country in the world. The number of invention patent applications and authorizations ranks first in the world. In this month, Guizhou has set up a special fund providing 2.5 billion to support scientific and technological innovation and promote the transformation of achievements.
